Happy Polar Vortex Week

Last Week in Math We:

• Did Division with Integers.
• Reviewed Multiplication with Integers.
• Did some more Division with Integers, using number lines.
• What is/are the Sign Rule(s)?
• We even did a few textbook questions! Pages 297-299 #8, 9, 20, 21 and 310-311 #9, 10, 18, 22
• Friday Fun Math - How many Cookies?

Last Week in Science We:

• Finished looking at Mechanical Advantage, Speed Ratio, Efficiency and Work.

• Reviewed the work we did on our Telus Spark Science Centre Field Trip.
• Completed fill in the blank notes, questions, and activities for section 2.3 Hydraulics
• Finished Vocabulary #3

Other Stuff:

• Watched Hidden Figures:  Math, Science & Humanities. In recognition of Black History Month.
• Wrote up and handed in:
• Identify the 4 points in the movie (conflict, rising action, climax, resolution)
• Describe how NASA and the other characters (people) address challenges.
• Identify 3 uses of figurative speech.
• Compare the society to what we have studied in Europe or with the Aztec.
